Masada Susar Fa Asar x Masada Fa Khdena Sada is a very special horse because she is the last Desert Arabian to proudly carry the Masada name.  When Walter Schimanski realized he was not going to win his battle with cancer he found homes where he felt his final precious horses would be allowed to carry on his dreams. Walter had been sick for four years, and he had narrowed his band to just a very few precious mares, and one stallion so that he would have his best nucleus to continue with.  One of these precious mares is Masada Fa Khedena (Fabo X Om Khamsa), the lovely Babson/Sirecho/*Tuhotmos mare who is the daughter of the wonderful Om Khamsa.  Walter knew that we had this blood, and he also knew that through my students, I was in a position to engage new younger people with these horses, so he sent Khedena to Susar Farm with her two week old filly Sada. Sada is a saqlawi-jedran and she is a wonderful representation of that strain with her lovely head, her elegant movement, and her regal bearing. Elizabeth Powell co-owns Sada with us and she is training her.  In this photo Sada has just started being ridden at about age 3. Sada has just completed her first year of training.  She has won some blue ribbons, and even a High Point Walk Trot championship and she is now beginning her proper dressage work. Elizabeth has done a wonderful job with her and both are well on their way to being ambassadors for the Desert Arabian horse as a performance horse. As Sada continues in her training she is getting more and more beautiful, and more and more talented.  She is now starting to add jumping and dressage to her repertoire and she is loving it. Sada at age five has grown into a gorgeous mare! Sada has grown into a beautiful mare and is now an accomplished performer with both Class A and local wins to her credit.
