Masada Susar Fa Asar x Masada Fa Khdena Sada is a very special horse because she is the last Desert Arabian to proudly carry the Masada name. When Walter Schimanski realized he was not going to win his battle with cancer he found homes where he felt his final precious horses would be allowed to carry on his dreams. Walter had been sick for four years, and he had narrowed his band to just a very few precious mares, and one stallion so that he would have his best nucleus to continue with. One of these precious mares is Masada Fa Khedena (Fabo X Om Khamsa), the lovely Babson/Sirecho/*Tuhotmos mare who is the daughter of the wonderful Om Khamsa. Walter knew that we had this blood, and he also knew that through my students, I was in a position to engage new younger people with these horses, so he sent Khedena to Susar Farm with her two week old filly Sada. Sada is a saqlawi-jedran and she is a wonderful representation of that strain with her lovely head, her elegant movement, and her regal bearing.
